Make a dive plan

Use the TDI Tables to illustrate how to plan a nitrox dive, including calculations for Equivalent Air Depth (EAD). Instruct your students to set limits based on oxygen exposure at the planned depth with the actual gas. Additionally, have them define parameters related to nitrogen absorption at the intended depth using the actual mix. Make sure to accurately calculate and document CNS loading for each dive, including exposure, and ensure the nitrox computer is programmed with the correct oxygen settings when necessary.

Work shop

In this workshop, attendees will acquire the skills needed to teach others how to properly use an oxygen analyzer for accurate oxygen level assessments. You will also mentor students in cylinder management and compliant practices. The workshop will emphasize the importance of pre-dive briefings, allowing participants to practice programming the nitrox computer with the correct oxygen percentage and logging nitrox cylinder analyses, including maximum operating depth. Additionally, you will ensure students understand gas labeling according to local regulations and prepare equipment for oxygen (Oâ‚‚) service, including required programming of the nitrox computer.

Tech TDI level skills

The instructor demonstrates buoyancy control by remaining suspended in the water without the use of hands or feet, while actively engaging with your dive buddy and team. You will instruct your students on how to a regulator free flow, perform a shutdown, and transition to the backup regulator. Additionally, you will teach the process executing a safety stop with neutral buoyancy, sharing air with your buddy, and maintaining the proper body position and trim. Furthermore, ensure that your students comprehend how to conduct a stress analysis for both themselves and their dive buddy.
