Pre-Tech Check

Learn to deliver comprehensive instruction on dive planning, enhance buoyancy control, effectively manage gas, and develop situational awareness. Highlight the significance of advanced technical diving and equipment handling in becoming a more proficient diver. Provide guidance on proper gear selection and preparation, as well as buddy gas matching. Empower your students to achieve mastery in S.T.A.R.T techniques, trim, fin, body positioning, and to exercise sound judgment in both dive planning and execution.

Tech TDI level skills

As a TDI instructor, you will showcase your buoyancy control by holding a position without using your hands or feet. While developing key skills, prioritize clear communication and collaboration with your dive buddy and group. Guide your students in exploring various finning techniques for moving both forward and backward, and practicing a surface marker buoy (SMB) during a safety stop at neutral buoyancy. Additionally, ensure they understand how to conduct stress assessment for themselves and their dive buddy, as well as how to calculate surface air consumption (SAC) rate.
